Villa Tasso is situated on a hilltop, near a road that connect two villages, in an area generally acknowledged as the premium wine region of Chianti Classico. The villa sits on a 53 hectares (130 acres) estate, which is also home to a small boutique vineyard and winery.
The Villa is a beautiful, spacious Tuscan casa colonica (farm house); it is suitable for 10 people and has been planned for family gatherings or parties of friends. It offers over 420 m² of living space which meanders over 4 levels. The original farm dates back to 1085.
The structure is constructed in a traditional rustic Tuscan style: white-washed or stone walls, wood beamed ceilings and terracotta tiled floors. The interior is pure luxury and comfort; the home has many large windows and doors, ensuring an abundance of natural light. The bedrooms are situated in such a way that each guest has a bit of privacy. Each bedroom is outfitted with a ceiling fan and the windows are screened. There are multiple terraces, each of which has its own unique and magnificent view. The villa has a private 15 meter swimming pool, where one can relax in a tranquil atmosphere while enjoying the surrounding landscape.
Technical description:
One enters the Villa through the courtyard into the charming parlor, a good place to sit and chat.
The large living room is furnished with four couches, a satellite TV and DVD player, a bookcase filled with books and a fireplace.
Just off of the living room is a computer nook with internet access. Out the Living room door is a covered patio which looks onto the backyard and affords a magnificent view of the hills of Chianti.
The Kichen/dining room features: table accomodating 10 people, Granite island and two sinks for food preparation, Mmodern Bulthaup cabinets, appliances for gourmet cooking, Gaggenau oven and microwave, Rossieres gas stove with 2 additional oven, Raised fireplace suitable for grilling.
Beyond the kitchen through a doorway is a "work kitchen" outfitted with a Sub-Zero refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher and large sink. To the left of this kitchen is a small alcove with Miele washing machine and dryer.
Just off the kitchen/dining room there is a spacious terrace affording spectacular vineyard views. There is a table for at least 10 and a built-in barbeque.
Then there are the bedrooms: Bedroom 1 is a spacious, double room with a fireplace, a small private patio and en-suite bathroom with shower. The bed is convertable into twin beds.
Bedroom 2 is a small bedroom with a bed that is convertable to twins. It shares a bathroom with bedroom 3. The large bathroom has both a bathtub and a shower.
Bedroom 3 is a large bedroom with a bed that is convertable to twins.
Bedroom 4 is a spacious, double room with a fireplace, dressing room and en-suite bathroom with shower. The bed is convertable into two twin beds.
Bedroom 5 is an average size bedroom with views onto the vineyards and main patio area. It has a double bed and a large en-suite bathroom with shower. it can be entered through another bedroom or through it's private balcony.
The exercise room which is outfitted with state of the art fitness equipment: two Life Cycle stationary bicycles, a True treadmill, a Concept II rowing machine and a Vectra weight machine.
The villa has a private 15 meter, salt-water swimming pool where one can relax in a tranquil atmosphere while enjoying the surrounding landscape.
The pool area includes a covered pergola, lounge furniture and an outdoor shower.
There are no other rentals on the property. The owners have an apartment at the far side of the villa. They live there with their two sweet shy shelties.

The price showed on price list is for 10 persons, for a week from Saturday to Saturday and includes:
Electricity, gas(for cooking), mobile phone (with credit of 20€), water, linen, hairdryers , linen change and bedroom/bath cleaning on Wednesdays; additional change of linen and cleaning on Saturdays for longer stays.
The price not includes : Central heating, telephone, firewood, wines.
Extra Services: The following are listed as an aid for trip planning; all extra services are payable locally in cash.
Maid service: Monday-Friday: 10€/hour, Weekends: 20€/hour.
Breakfast service: Monday-Friday: 12€/hour, Weekends: 20€/hour.
Cook service: Monday-Friday: 17€/hour, Weekends: 26€/hour.
Cooking class: 75-95€ per person.
Meal prepared by gourmet chef: 30-50€ per person.
Grocery shopping: cost of groceries + 15% or min of 12€.
Mountain or Speed bike rental: 16€ per day, 100€ per week.
A refundable deposit of € 500, by cash is required upon arrival
The villa is rented for year 2008 from 26 th April until 27 th September 2008.
