This beautiful, luxury Tuscan villa has been fully restored in true Tuscan style using only top quality and original local materials. Villa Matteo is part of the 1000 acre private country estate, set in farm and woodlands, vineyards, olive groves, meadows and wild-life reserve. The estate dates back to the 11th. Century when it was a fortified castle and village life went on within its walls.
The Villa was formerly a hunting lodge and lies on a gentle hill top within its own private grounds and gardens.

Being a privately owned villa, used by the family mainly during the autumn and winter season, the Villa is a highly comfortable, luxury property. The standard of the furnishings and finishings is first class, as the house was completely restored by the family in 1997 for its own personal use.

The villa offers 10 bedrooms, all with ensuite or private bathrooms and can therefore accommodate generously up to 20 guests. All bedrooms and the two first floor suites are fully air conditioned.
The ground floor offers two extremely spacious lounge areas with large comfortable sofas and armchairs and a magnificent double dining area - the main table opens up to seat 20 guests quite easily. The large and very pretty country kitchen is fully equipped to cater for groups of family and friends.

The fittings and finishings are of the highest quality: exposed beam ceilings, old tuscan terracotta floors, specially aged parquet flooring in all bedrooms, grès and terracotta tiled bathrooms with marble and antique wood fittings.

The furnishings are in an elegant, Tuscan country style with a select number of restored antique pieces.
The Villa boasts views full circle and overlooks purely the estate, while the neighbouring hill towns of Montaione, Gambassi and Castelfiorentino can be seen on the horizon.

The villa offers the most beautiful pool loggia which is an open Tuscan brickwork, terracotta tiled, veranda, overlooking and leading down onto the spectacular infinity pool. Once in the pool your only view is the sweeping Tuscan panorama. Strategically placed, the pool enjoys superb exposure literally from sunrise to sunset.

Adjacent to the loggia is a large open barbecue and grill, with roasting spit, large stone washbasin and work area.
The beautifully landscaped garden offers extensive mediterranean shrub and herbacious borders, rose and lavendar gardens, olive groves and a large flat lawn area which is ideal for children. Both the pool and gardens are lit at night.

The Villa is highly spacious and is ideal for family reunions, gatherings or groups of friends. While enjoying together the atmosphere of this beautiful Tuscan villa whether it be poolside or around the superb main dining table for long Italian evening dinners, all guests are guaranteed the highest degree of personal space and privacy in the extremely well appointed bedrooms and suites.
