The ancient barn was built in 1820. It stands on a hill with a panoramic view of Siena to the north, and of Montalcino hills and Monte Amiata to the south. The house was trasformed into a very comfortable villa in typical Tuscan architectural style.

The villa, furnished according to the typical local country style, is endowed with the most modern comforts.
With a 220 sq. m . total surface the house is set on two levels.

Ground floor:
Characterized by typical Tuscan terracotta tiled floors, all rooms are spacious and bright. Several large windows and French windows opening onto different panoramic sides make this part of the villa the very relaxing point for its lucky guests.

Wide fireplace hall, comfortable living room with sofa and armchairs, dining and study areas.
Well equipped kitchen-diner with dining table and every best comfort.
Laundry room and bathroom.
Separate night area including double bedroom, bathroom with shower box and double washbasin.
Covered and furnished veranda.
Worth mentioning is also the central pillar of the ancient barn. Renovated and well preserved by taking care of its original features, it represents the very core of the whole villa. Around it the iron stairs leading to the upper floor

First floor:
Partially overlooking the living room below, the first floor is characterized by warm light brown parquet and by the traditional ceiling with finely restored wood beams.
At the end of the stairs, which are also made of light brown wooden steps, there are:

Three double bedrooms furnished with the utmost care for detail, everything reflecting the best traditional Tuscan style.

The Villa is surrounded by a wide garden with olive and fruit trees.
Guests also have the use of a relaxing swimming-pool (7x14 m - 7,5x15 yards) with all equipment, barbecue and private parking facilities.

The Villa is to be reached through a white road beautifully framed by secular cypresses and winding among the Crete Senesi (clay hilly landscape typical of the south-west area of Siena ). At only 2 km distance in the next small village you find supermarkets, restaurants and pizzerias, lying on the boundary between the woodland of Val di Merse and the Crete Senesi, just amid a region reminding of its Etruscan origins.
Particularly amazing are the ruins of the Etruscan settlement Poggio Civitate and the famous antiquarium, both close to Murlo, only 6 km away.
After only 15 km, travelling across the picturesque Crete landscape, you reach Siena , the Italian city with the highest living standards par excellence. Siena, international place of culture, boasts a 750 years old University and also prestigious Cultural Institutions such as the Accademia Musicale Chigiana, the Università per Stranieri, the Accademia dei Fisiocritici and the one of Intronati, where important conferences and congresses are held.
In Siena every single stone has remained unchanged throughout the centuries and the atmosphere is felt as unique because its people have preserved their fathers' traditions, above all those related to Palio, the most famous local happening. In the ramparts of the imposing Fortezza Medicea is based the Enoteca Italiana, an exposition with more than thousand accurately sorted wine labels, not only of Tuscan origin.
